Chicken Parm Grilled Cheese

This crispy, comforting, chicken Parmesan sandwich is a quick and easy way to enjoy an Italian favorite anytime. 

Ingredients
  • 2 slices La Brea Bakery Italian Round Loaf
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 3 slices fontina cheese
  • 1 4-ounce chicken breast, grilled
  • 3 to 4 fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flake
Preparation
  1. Add butter to a heavy-bottom pan over medium heat.
  2. While butter is melting, build the sandwich by placing one slice of bread on a flat surface. Top with ½ of the tomato sauce, a slice of cheese, chicken, basil, more tomato sauce, another slice of cheese, and the other slice of bread.
  3. Place in the pan with melted butter and cook until the bottom of the sandwich is golden brown.
  4. Flip the sandwich and top with the remaining tomato sauce and the last slice of cheese.
  5. Cover and cook until the bottom side is golden and the cheese on top is melted.
  6. Remove from pan, sprinkle with Parmesan and red pepper flakes, and serve.
