Ingredients

1 cup Nutella

1 cup ricotta cheese

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups half and half

1 tablespoon cinnamon

Fresh mint, for garnish (optional)
Preparation
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Slice the loaf in half from top to bottom. Take one half, place the cut side down, and cut into 1” slices. Repeat with the other half.
- In a greased 9x12 baking dish, arrange the first layer of bread so each piece lays flat and most of the bottom of the dish is covered. Spread Nutella on each piece of bread followed by ricotta. Add a layer of strawberries. Add another layer of bread and follow the same process, Nutella, Ricotta, and then strawberries.
- In a separate bowl, mix eggs, vanilla extract, half and half, and cinnamon. Pour the mixture over the bread, filling all the empty spaces in the dish until it is about 1” below the top of the dish. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until the liquid has been absorbed and has thickened. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve.
