Honey Toast with Fresh Ricotta and Pistachios
Slices of La Brea Bakery Sourdough Baguette, lightly toasted, serve as the foundation for this delicious toast. Simply top the sourdough slices with part-skim or fat-free ricotta cheese, crushed pistachios, a drizzle of honey, and a pinch of salt. Finish with lemon zest.

Almond Butter “Super” Toast
Cut our Rustic 8 Grain Loaf into slices and bake for 5 minutes. Let cool, then spread with almond butter, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, and raspberries. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Avocado Toast
Toast La Brea Bakery Italian Round Loaf, cut into slices, and let cool. Top with diced avocado, thinly sliced radish, and black sesame seeds. Drizzle with fresh lime juice, sprinkle with chili seasoning, and garnish with microgreens.

Better Lunch with Better Bread

Roasted Turkey Salad Sandwich

Roasted Turkey Salad Sandwich
Combine shredded roasted turkey with light chipotle mayo and place on a slice of Rustic 8 Grain Bread. Top with baby greens, avocado slices, and a sprinkle of sea salt. Top with another slice of bread.

Avocado Grilled Cheese
Lightly coat two slices of Three Cheese Semolina Loaf with butter and place butter side down in a preheated pan. Place pepper jack cheese on each slice of bread and allow to melt. Add sliced avocado and a pinch of garlic salt to one slice, and place the other slice, cheese down, to close the sandwich. Press lightly with a spatula and cook until brown on each side.

Open Faced Tuna Salad Sandwich
Toast thick slices of New York Rye Loaf until golden brown. Mix mayo, Dijon mustard, and capers and spread on toasted bread. Top with sliced cucumbers, hard-boiled egg, red onion, and drained tuna. Garnish with dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Dinnertime Delights

Sweet Potato and Sage Soup with Blue Cheese Croutons

Sweet Potato & Sage Soup with Blue Cheese Croutons
Start by toasting cubed Italian Round Loaf with olive oil, blue cheese, and parsley until golden. Roast and mash sweet potatoes. Sauté onion, celery, garlic, and spices in butter before adding chicken stock and coconut milk. Whisk in sweet potatoes, season, and blend until smooth. Serve soup hot, topped with the blue cheese croutons.

Baked Sweet Potato Soup with Cranberry Croustade
Sauté garlic and onion, add chicken stock and mashed sweet potatoes, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Simmer for 10 minutes, then blend until smooth. For the croustades, toast slices of French Baguette and spread each with cranberry sauce. Serve alongside the soup.

Jalapeño Cheddar Chicken Melt
Cook and season chicken cutlets. Mix together light sour cream, cilantro, and lime juice, and in a separate bowl, mix cotija and Monterey Jack cheese. Butter one side of each of four slices of Jalapeño Cheddar Loaf. Place half the cheese mixture over the bread and add green onions and charred poblano pepper slices. Brush chicken with sour cream mixture and place on top of bread slices. Top with remaining cheese and cover with remaining bread slices, butter-side out. Cook, covered, over medium heat for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes.

Smarter Snacking

Parmesan Cheese Crisps

Parmesan Cheese Crisps
Cut Three Cheese Semolina Loaf lengthwise into thirds, then horizontally, 1/8-inch thick. Arrange on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, not allowing them to touch. Brush with olive oil until well coated. Sprinkle shredded parmesan cheese over the bread and bake until lightly golden and crispy.

Eggplant Crostini
Cut French Baguette into angled slices. Place on a sheet pan, brush with olive oil, and set aside. In a bowl, toss thinly sliced eggplant with olive oil, and in a separate bowl, toss sliced shallots with balsamic vinegar, diced tomatoes, and feta. Place eggplant on a baking sheet and bake 20 minutes. Set aside. Toast bread in oven until lightly golden. Place eggplant atop bread slices, sprinkle with shallot, tomato, and feta mixture, and garnish with chives.

Sun Dried Tomato and Pesto Garlic Bread
Slice La Brea Bakery French Twin Pack Baguettes, leaving ¼ of an inch at the bottom of each slice to hold the loaf together. Mix butter, basil pesto, grated parmesan, and diced sundried tomatoes into a paste. Divide between the two loaves, scooping a generous tablespoonful between each slice. Wrap baguettes in aluminum foil and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
