This recipe takes grilled cheese to the next level with melted jack cheese, tangy barbecue onion jam, and tender short ribs.
Ingredients
- 2 slices La Brea Bakery Three Cheese Semolina Loaf
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 slices jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon barbecue onion jam, homemade or store-bought
- 3 ounces prepared short ribs
Preparation
- Place a medium cast iron skillet (or similar) over medium-low heat, heating for 2 minutes while assembling the sandwich.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread, placing its butter side down on the cutting board.
- Place two slices of jack cheese on each slice of bread. Add the short rib and onion jam. Top with the remaining bread slice.
- Transfer the sandwich to the preheated pan. Cook over medium-low heat for 3 minutes on each side, or until bread is golden brown and cheese has melted. Cut and serve.
