Why have a ham and cheese sandwich when you can have a grilled ham and cheese sandwich?
Ingredients
- 2 slices La Brea Bakery Country White Sourdough Loaf
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 4 slices gruyere cheese
- 3 slices ham
Preparation
- Spread the butter on one side of each slice and place the butter side down on a cutting board.
- Arrange the cheese and ham on the unbuttered side of one slice.
- Top with the second slice, the buttered side on the outside.
- In a heated grill or pan, cook the sandwich over medium-low heat for 3 minutes on each side, or until bread is golden brown and cheese has melted. Cut and serve.
